IN THE SCHOOLHOUSE

Accomplishment

Accomplishment. According to Dictionary.com, accomplishment is a noun meaning:

     1. an act or instance of carrying into effect;fulfillment:

     2. something done admirably or creditably:

     3. anything accomplished; deed; achievement:

     4. any acquired ability or knowledge.

Every single child and adult at LES can feel accomplishment in all of its meanings for the amazing work, effort, and achievement of the past year.

As I write, I can see down to the fourth grade classroom where students are eagerly presenting their inventions at the Invention Fair. Creativity abounds. Need to get your cat out of your room at night so that you can sleep?  Are you having trouble keeping track of your hair elastics? What about having to pass so many plates down the table in order to serve a meal? Talk to a fourth grader. They have your solution!

Last week, Bill Stewart’s fifth grade presented an original (and very amazing) play, called “The Judgment of Paris.” The class definitely is a cohort with a great deal of acting ability! But the delivery of their lines also showed how much they have grown in their understanding of character, plot, and story line.

There were wonderful musical performances as well. Kudos to Brian Bender and Heidi Renault for the work they have done this year, which was so tunefully reflected in the two concerts!

Three kindergartners also did an original performance of “The Emperor’s New Toys.” This trio has been reading with Susan Wells, and decided to come up with their own rendition of “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” It was a clever and amusing story, greatly enjoyed by their classmates and the second graders, as well.

There will, no doubt, be more accomplishments in evidence over the next couple of weeks.  These accomplishments are the result of individual efforts, but they also reflect the incredible support and encouragement that comes from the entire Leverett community. We continue to be very grateful for ensuring that “LES is more!”

Before the end of the year, we hope to have completed two appointments. The first is for the long-term substitute, who will cover Amanda King’s maternity leave until she returns after Thanksgiving, and the second for a teacher who will take over second grade for one year, while Angela Regan is pursuing her Master’s Degree at Smith College. We will announce these appointments as they are finalized.

There are still several field trips, Field Day, and Jump Up Day ahead! Stay tuned!!

-Margot Lacey

FAREWELL FROM NANCY GIBAVIC

I did my student teaching at the Leverett Elementary School from September of 1975 to June of 1976. I returned in November of 1977 as a Comprehensive Employment Training Act (C.E.T.A.) aide.  In April of 1980, I took over as the fourth grade teacher and I taught fourth grade for seventeen years. I then moved to the newly created Essential Skills position. This allowed me to teach everything from remedial to accelerated math, as well as language arts and science labs.  And now it is time to say goodbye.  It has been a good run and the Leverett School has always been a great school.  I will take with me so many cherished memories.  Thanks to all who have made this wonderful place possible.

                           -Nancy Gibavic

EFFECTIVE LOVE SPELL TO GET EX HUSBAND/BOYFRIEND OR EX WIFE/GIRLFRIEND AND CURE HERPES AND INFERTILITY THAT WORKS WITHIN 24 HOURS. ALSO WIN LOTTERY POWERBALL/MEGAMILLIONS 100% GUARANTEED  Contact Doctor Odunga Michael at [email protected] OR Whats App/CALL +2348167159012 I got my ex husband back to me and also got fertile and gave birth to twin girls after 12 years of marriage. When I came online last year, I saw a testimony about Doctor Michael and how he has been helping people with marriage issues and I decided to contact him. We spoke on email at [email protected] and later he gave me his WhatsApp number which is +2348167159012. He assured me he would help me get my ex husband back after 3 years of no contact. Doctor Michael is the best spell caster I must say. My husband called me after 24 hours of contact. The third day, I received natural herbs for fertility and after using it, I became fertile and conceived. I and my husband reconnected, had sex and I was pregnant. Presently I am happy to say I am the mother of twin girls and this is ALL THANKS TO DOCTOR ODUNGA MICHAEL. I came online to say this: If you need help, I believe you are saved with this man. Contact his email at [email protected]  OR Whats App/Call +2348167159012 and you too will give a testimony too to help others

The Freedmen's Bureau turned into an undeniable legislature of men. It made laws, executed them and translated them; it laid and gathered assessments, characterized and rebuffed wrongdoing, kept up and utilized military power, and managed such measures as it thought vital and legitimate for the achievement of its fluctuated closes.
